The product fits a key production-agent lesson: agents need hands, but the hands need identity. It is not enough for a model to decide “create a pull request” or “read this Google Doc.” The system has to know which user approved that access, what scopes were granted, and how to audit the action later.

For a technical solo founder building an agent product, Arcade is worth comparing with Composio. Arcade leans hard into auth, runtime, and hosted MCP infrastructure. It is not the right starting point for a non-coder who wants to automate a business workflow today, but it can save a builder from reinventing the permission layer every serious agent eventually needs.
